MGHM Healing Brief, 4/11

Build on the Rock

If youíve been around this ministry for any length of time, youíve heard lots of references to "rock-solid teaching," "rock-solid faith," and the like. In both Testaments, rock is a common image for the nature of God--something that canít be changed or shaken, something consistently and absolutely reliable. The Lord God, says Isaiah (26:4), "is an everlasting Rock."

When you speak the Word to any trouble on earth, you communicate the rock-like presence and power of God. As Iíve written in Simple Healing (coming soon, pages 74-5), "when any Word of God is spoken in faith--whether by Jesus in the Gospels, or one of the apostles, or a modern Christian--God Himself is present with power in those words. God, His Word, His will, His thoughts, and His power all go together, as the Bible makes clear (John 1:1-3). When you have one, you have all the others."
.

Transmitting God's power

For this ministry, transmitting Godís power to any area of human need has become a way of life. Itís like opening a spigot: we speak the Word, and the power of God flows through to do the work.

Many sincere Christians, to be sure, have trouble accepting that mere syllables spoken aloud can have any effect on grim reality. If you happen to be stuck on this question, dear one, take a look at the "Testimonies" section of this website. There youíll see a sampling of the blessings that have come to ordinary people who dared to apply the Bibleís instructions literally.
.

Attack the problem

So whatís going on in your mind or body that isnít from God--high blood pressure, diabetes, cancer, gout, artery disease, Parkinsonís Disease, flu, fatigue, lupus, bone problems, heart problems? Attack the problem with the Word.

Is your blood pressure high? Tell it in the name of Jesus to come down to the correct numbers. Is your pancreas making too little insulin? Tell it in the name of Jesus to do its job. And donít take "no" for an answer. Weíre assured in Mark 11:23 that if we believe in our hearts that our words will move our mountains, weíll have what we say.
.

     Normally a process

If physical problems are only part of the picture, donít limit yourself to them. Are you dragging through life under a burden of fear, anxiety, depression, addiction, compulsion? Attack these troubles with the Word; Jesus destroyed all your mental shackles when He took them to the Cross. And again, donít take "no" for an answer. Doubt and discouragement are always from the enemy.

Now, it remains to be said that changing sickness into health is normally a process. It doesnít happen in a day, and not usually in a week or two except in the rare case of a miracle healing. God expects us to do our part as His co-workers, speaking the Word that releases His power, building our healing and deliverance one brick at a time.

But we can be sure of the result, because our foundation is the RockóJesus Christ!

Don't forget that . . .

God should be our first resort, not our last resort. Start taking time right now to build up the faith you need to receive His healing.

God is ready to heal us in every wayóspiritually, physically, emotionally, and mentally.

God heals all types of disease, pain, sorrow, and infirmity. Nothing is too hard for Him.

God wants us to be healed, to be "whole" persons enjoying abundant life.

God expects us to cooperate with Him in getting healedóthrough medicine, diet, exercise, and straight thinking. Everything that promotes healing is a gift from Him.
