Core Scriptures For Your Deliverance

November 1, 2023

Most Christians don’t have even one deliverance scripture planted down in their hearts. How can we expect to get free from our bondages when we don’t know any of God’s word that will set us free?

God sends His word on deliverance to get us free from sin, temptation, sickness, mental torments, shackles, addictions and so on.  His Word contains the power and the promise to accomplish the purpose [deliverance] for which He sent it.

There’s a scripture in Isaiah which clearly explains our deliverance from evil.

“…the chastisement [Hebrew – bond, bondages] for our shalom was upon Him…” Isaiah 53:5c.  Messianic Jewish Family Bible.  So, we might say it like this – “the bond or bondages needful to get our shalom were upon Him…”

The Hebrew root word for shalom is s-l-m which means wholeness, well-being, peace, prosperity, success, safety, health, completeness, complete life, everything working and nothing broken.  Your wholeness in this life comes when you get delivered from all the shackles, bondages, prisons and addictions that would hold you captive and in bondage.

“…and by his stripes we are healed.”  Isaiah 53:5d.  When we’re healed, we have God’s shalom.

“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to announce good news to the poor.  He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim release to the captives, to let out into the light those bound in the dark; to proclaim the year of the favor of the Lord and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn.”  The Complete Jewish Bible.  Isaiah 61:1-2.  According to this scripture, you have deliverance from any poverty in your life, from anything that has broken your heart, from anything that has held you captive, and from all darkness in your life.

The Amplified Bible states in Luke 4:18-19 that “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me because He has anointed Me [the Anointed One, the Messiah] to preach the good news to the poor; He has sent Me to announce release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to send forth as delivered those who are oppressed [who are downtrodden, bruised, crushed, and broken down by calamity].”

According to these verses, you and I can get delivered from poverty, from blindness, from everything that has oppressed us, bruised us, crushed us, or broken us down by calamity.  That would include all sickness, disease, stress, pain, poverty, lack, all mental problems, all emotional problems, all relational problems, all financial problems and so on.

“He sent forth his word and healed them and delivered them from all of their destructions.”  Psalm 107:20. Healing and deliverance are joined together in this verse.  Often, we can’t get healing from God until we get delivered from a demon standing in the way of our healing.

According to God’s word, we have already been delivered by Jesus’s suffering and dying on the Cross.  In Colossians 2:15 we see these words, “God disarmed the principalities and powers ranged against us and made a bold display and public example of them in triumphing over them in Him and in it [the cross].”  Amplified Bible.

Let’s start believing God’s words on deliverance and put these verses to work in our lives for complete deliverance from every evil.
