Our mouths are constantly telling our bodies and minds and emotions what to do. For example, I hear people say things like this – “Goodness, I’m feeling achy all over. I think I’m coming down with the flu…” Or I hear them say, “My head hurts really bad. I must be getting another migraine.” Or, I hear them say things like this – “Ugh. I feel like I’ve just been run over with a Mack truck.” Statements like these are counter-productive to our getting healing from God by faith. If we say such things over and over again, our angels will see to it that they come to pass in our lives.
Mark 11: 23 says this – “Whosoever says to this mountain, Be removed and be cast into the sea and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things which he says shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he says.’ ” If we say something and keep on saying it, we will eventually believe it and then we are in trouble because what we say will happen. This verse tells us that what we say and believe will eventually come into our lives. I don’t know about you, but I need to watch what I’m saying and believing. It’s crucial to my health and to my receiving healing by faith from God.
Let’s talk about another example. Late last week I started feeling sick to my stomach and feverish. I spoke, “Get away from me sickness in the Name of Jesus.” All symptoms stopped immediately.
By saying that, I was telling my body to resist the sick feeling and it did. Our mouths tell our bodies what to do. I was telling my body, “Repel it! Reject it!” Everything I said, of course, was spoken in the Name of Jesus! So, it’s a given that what we are saying and what we are believing will come to pass whether it’s a good thing or a bad thing.
We can also repel sickness and disease in our lives by using the blood of Jesus. We read in Revelation 12:11 that we can overcome the devil “by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.” In other words, we overcome the enemy by Jesus’s blood and by the words that come out of our mouths.
When we cover ourselves with the precious Blood of Jesus each and every day, then that blood also repels sickness and diseases. I try to speak “the blood of Jesus” aloud each day. Once in a while I forget to do this, but most days I speak these words about the blood. When we do this, then the blood covering over us also repels sickness of any kind.
I believe strongly that when we get even one symptom of some sickness or of a temptation or of a toxic emotion, we need to bind that thing up right away and tell it to go. We can be saved from lots of sicknesses, sin temptations and toxic emotions if we speak the Word of God immediately. Don’t wait until the symptoms have taken hold of your body, but do it at the first sign of any sickness or disease.
Our mouths tell our bodies what to do in every situation. If we start speaking symptoms, then we open the door for our bodies to “have” those symptoms. If we keep our mouths shut and don’t speak any symptoms, then our bodies won’t pick up the sickness or disease or toxic emotion and run with it. Our human spirit is the boss over our body. Our mouths are an expression of what’s in our human spirits. So then, what comes out of our mouths immediately in every situation is what will is carried out in our minds and bodies.
What we say with our mouths depends on what we are meditating on in our lives. If a doctor gives us a bad report of some kind and if we look up all the symptoms of that disease online and meditate on what it says, then we will probably be speaking those symptoms out of our mouths. This is how we unknowingly hook ourselves into sickness and disease somewhere down the road. We don’t think before we speak. We just blab any old thought coming into our heads without thinking about the consequences of what we’re saying.
